World Medicine İlaç was founded in Türkiye in 2011 as part of the World Medicine group of companies. Its head office, R&D laboratory and first factory are in Güneşli, İstanbul, and it has two further plants in the Çerkezköy Organised Industrial Zone in Tekirdağ, plus a production site in Algeria.The portfolio includes more than 600 products in ophthalmology, neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, urology and respiratory medicine. The İstanbul plant, active since 2013, makes tablets, hard and soft capsules, sachets, oral liquids, nasal sprays, sterile eye drops, ear drops, inhalers, creams, ointments and suppositories. Food supplements, vitamins and medical devices complete the range.The company exports medicines to more than 65 countries. Its sites hold EU GMP and many national GMP approvals, and it lists ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 50001 and ISO 17025 certificates.
