Tek-bal Medical Devices is a family business now in its third generation. Its founder and honorary president, Abdul Vahap Bal, began working in the autoclave sector as a technician at the Ministry of Health in the 1960s, repairing autoclaves used in public hospitals. In 1963 he converted a 1960 model vertical autoclave, which worked with wood fire, into an electrical system.
He founded his company in 1980 and created the Tek-bal brand. After years of R&D, the company produced its first domestic autoclave. Its products include desktop steam sterilizers (autoclaves) of 18 L to 23 L and 30 L to 50 L, horizontal steam sterilizers, automatic sealing devices with and without printer, a blister roll cutter, an ultrasonic cleaner, reverse-osmosis and distilled water devices, and stainless steel operating room equipment.
