Sümer was established in 1981 in Ankara to provide services in the medical device sector. It manufactures on a 25.000 m2 site in the Ankara Organized Industrial Zone, with a research and development unit and an application team supported by engineers.
The company follows quality management principles from product design through to after-sales service. It is certified to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 13485 (medical device quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management), and holds product certificates under the Medical Devices Directive MDD 93/42/EEC and the pressurised equipment directive PED 2014/68/EU. Its steam sterilizers and its disinfection and washing devices have been certified by a German accredited body.
