ORTPAR was established in 1978 as an orthopaedic and prosthetic parts manufacturer, building on experience gained before that date. It was the first in the Turkish market to produce a lockable knee. In 1979 connection parts, with their designs and casting moulds completed, were added to the product range, and production of the Canadian and crutch series was completed and started in 1985.

In 1989 ORTPAR set up its first CNC lathe and designed its parts and devices for CNC technology, later expanding its machine line with CNC milling machines. 1998 was the year of its first export. In 2000 it released the Modular Single Axis Knee Joint with Manual Lock, another first in Türkiye. Its products include orthoses and prostheses.
