Medbar researches, develops, designs and produces medical disposable supplies, and has more than 35 years of experience. Its founder, Ümit Ömer Baran, began improving infrastructure for disposable medical supplies production in 1979. In 1984 he founded Iztipsan as a family company in Karabaglar with 25 employees. Iztipsan was the first manufacturer in Turkey of disposable medical supplies such as Eye Band, Microscope Drape and Camera Drape, and one of the few in the world.

He left the company partnership in 1999 and Medbar Tibbi Malzemeler started its activities in March 2006 in İzmir, with a 300 m2 closed area and 5 workers. Exports began in 2008. Today Medbar has 150 employees and produces in a 10,000 m2 closed area, supplying 72 countries on 6 continents. It has signed strategic partnership agreements with 2 of the 5 largest healthcare companies in the world.
