LINAK began in Denmark at the end of the 1970s with the aim of improving people's lives. It is an international innovator of electric actuator technology, with more than 2,000 employees, production facilities in four countries and subsidiaries in more than 35 countries. Its actuators facilitate ergonomic improvements in workplaces as diverse as offices, hospitals, industrial production and farming.

The company has four strategic segments: TECHLINE (industrial automation, agriculture, energy and similar), DESKLINE (offices, shops, kitchens and other workstations), HOMELINE (elevation beds and other comfort furniture) and MEDLINE & CARELINE (healthcare and treatment applications). Its Turkey office is in Ankara, and its products include actuators, control boxes and hand sets.
