Efmed is part of a company group that began as a tooling company providing technical support to medical companies to improve their production quality. In 2007 the group invested in a spine implant manufacturer, and today it has more than 250 people in production, sales and management.

The company describes itself as the clear market leader in Turkey in spine implants. It has also developed arthroscopy implants and offers trauma plates, external fixators and intramedullary nailing systems. An arthroplasty range, covering primary and revision knee and hip implants, is in preparation and awaiting CE approval.
