Biofarma is an İstanbul pharmaceutical manufacturer founded in 1945, with its production plant in Sancaktepe. The plant has an annual capacity of 76 million boxes, of which 55 million are for solid forms and 9 million for liquids; the rest covers semi-solid forms, soft gelatin capsules and hormone products.The company states that its products are made to PIC/S GMP and MHRA (UK) standards and exported to 31 countries in the EU, the Middle East, Africa, the CIS and the Far East, with 183 licences abroad. It also accepts contract manufacturing orders and runs an R&D centre.Biofarma publishes an ISO 9001 certificate and policies for environment, occupational health and safety and information security.
