Akme Medikal was established in 2007 to provide technical and medical services for the use of medical devices. In its first year it offered consultancy and technical service to private hospitals and health companies, and it also set up a medical centre, polyclinic and operating room.

In 2010 it established a biomedical calibration laboratory and received ISO 9001:2008 and TSE 12426 Service Competence certificates. Since 2013 it has operated with TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation from the Turkish Accreditation Agency.

From the beginning of 2011 the company has imported equivalent-quality medical device ampoules (bulbs) from Europe, America and the Far East. In 2012 it began offering the American Medled wireless LED head lamp, which it describes as having the world's highest luminous intensity. It developed a surgical head lamp with a WiFi camera, which it describes as the first and only one in the world, and began sales in 2014. Since 2016 it has offered its own-brand medikaLED surgical head lamp.
